When it comes to Prime Day deals, PC components are out of the question, but PC controllers are the target. Instead of a keyboard and mouse, why not use a PC controller once in a while?
There are times and places for PC controllers, and in my case, it's almost always when I'm too tired to sit upright at my desk. There are times when I want to relax on the couch, controller in one hand and a cold drink in the other, and play a game that doesn't require aiming.
Similarly, for games that require a certain amount of analog control, such as cooperative games or racing games (if there is no steering wheel), it is convenient to have a few controllers close at hand.
That said, I am a big fan of the standard Xbox controller1 and the kit included with any Xbox console. It's comfortable, very well thought out, and easily connects to a PC for a bit of cross-platform action. In that regard, the standard Xbox Wireless Controller remains a good choice, despite the lack of much of a Prime Day discount.
However, if you want something a little different, there are plenty of alternatives that may be available at lower prices over the next few days. Check them out below.
