"Blood Feast" is coming to the hit indie vampire survival game V Rising (opens in new tab)! While this sounds ominous and frightening, the fact is that you can play the game for free this weekend.
From October 28 through November 1, V Rising, which is completely different from Vampire Survivors and ironically (at least in the traditional sense) not a survival game, will be free for all creatures of the night (opens in new tab). The day before that, on October 27, V Rising will also be added to Nvidia's GeForce Now cloud gaming service.
Prior to this free weekend, developer Stunlock Studios also released Halloween-themed V Rising DLC, the Haunted Nights Castle Pack.
To access the new content, first install this (open in a new tab) (you must also have V Rising installed, of course), then complete the three journal quests:
Lord of Shadows
The First Book in the Library
Expanding My Domain
Also released today is a new update (opens in a new tab) that makes many changes to the balance and gameplay of V Rising and adds a new Mad Hunt for both PvE and PvP. Open in new tab) has been released. The full patch notes are as follows:
Two new game presets have been added:
These presets enable three new server settings:
Shuffle V Blood Location
[22 Blood AbilitiesShuffle V Blood Tech
