The latest version of Helldivers 2 was completed.
It turns out that these mechs have been ready for a little while. The moment we finished freeing Tien Kwan from the automaton threat, the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit became available for unlocking in-game. The cost was a whopping 20,000 Liquidation Slips, but it was a small price to pay for freedom (and mechs). Level 25 is required, so cadets will have to wait a while longer.
Like the Orbital Laser, which is a hit-and-run stratagem, the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuit seems to have only a couple of charges and a 600-second cooldown. This means that one must be careful where one deploys this thing, and if it gets scrapped, one will be up Maleveron Creek without a paddle.
Guide writer Sean Martin knows more about the slip division than I do. This video (and some fun action shots) will be a treat until you catch one.
According to Sean, the mech's chain gun doesn't seem to penetrate armor, but the rockets still look powerful. Whether this mech will be a good anti-tank option for dealing with hordes of heavily armored vile titans remains to be seen, but according to Sean, he was quickly scrapped by one.
I am impressed with the speed of Tien Kwan's release. By my estimation, the planet was unlocked yesterday around 2:00 p.m. GMT and released today around 3:50 p.m. GMT. Divers were thrilled with the news.
They were so excited they may have crashed the servers. As of this writing, I can't go back to the Super Destroyer: [but given the enormous amount of work Arrowhead Games has done on the server, things will settle down in time once the first few missiles are fired off.
This way of handling the situation is a bit against the rules. Half-expected that Tien Kwan's release would prompt an update later in the week, Arrowhead gave the community basically immediate payback for its hard work. Watch out automatons: full-metal democracy is here.
