Another day, another strange secret found in the cracks of Stardew Valley's 1.6 update. It's only been two days since its release, but so far we've seen murderous attacks by members of the Blue Man Group and drinkable mayonnaise. And now some eager players have managed to break the intergame barrier and get their hands on Meowmerre, Terraria's legendary sword, thanks to a large amount of lava and one wizard.

This is only a small blip in the grand scheme of Stardew Valley, but a Reddit user named Sightshade managed to find and obtain the legendary sword. This rainbow-colored cat sword is the harbinger of death, or more specifically, a rainbow-colored bullet in the shape of a cat that meows and meows and meows and meows, mercilessly beating you up.

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Fantastic, I can finally incinerate Haunted Skulls with the power and tame cuteness of a cat," but alas, in this world, Meowmere does not have the same power, exactly. They don't. Think of it as a reskin of the Infinity Sword (the most powerful weapon in Stardew Valley).

If that doesn't matter to you and you want another weapon for your collection, here's how to get one. First, throw the Ancient Doll into the lava pool on floor 100 of the mine. Then, take the item you got to the new pylon in the wizard's basement.

It's great to see recognition between two great games, no matter how small, but I really hope Eric Baron stops the crossover here. Several players have suggested that Meowmere should be more than just a pretty weapon: "It would be cool if it summoned a wall of flesh to KO you. I want first time Terrarians to experience the horror of accidentally killing a demon on lava."

I admit it would be interesting to suddenly be faced with a wall of flesh or demonic monster from Terraria in the humble farming game Stardew Valley. But I don't know if I have the mental strength to fight those kinds of creatures again. I've had my fair share of boss fights before hard mode, and I'd rather not bring my cosmic fears into carrot cultivation.
