Once upon a time, when the world was young and full of dreams and sunshine, "Fallout" was an isometric series. Tiny paper people ran around 2D environments, doing horrible things to each other, while the player looked over everything not from behind the eyes or shoulders of the protagonist, but from on high, like the almighty God, the Wizard King.
Alas, those days are gone, but they can be recaptured a bit of their glory in the form of this little plastic Fallout People from Modiphius. It's part of a tie-in with Amazon's TV show, and all the characters are from the just-released Fallout show.
That means you'll get little statues of Lucy (Ella Purnell's character), Maximus (Aaron Moten's BoS paladin), CX404 (Dog of Unknown Motive), and most importantly, Ghoul (Walton Good Old Goggins). All are 32mm tall and come with their own "background base". And since they are Warhammer-style, unpainted figurines, they can be dressed up in a variety of colors that nature has traditionally reserved for warning about poisonous toads and whatnot.
It's pretty neat stuff, and if I weren't trying to live an ascetic life like a monk (which means I already have too many physical implements taking up space in my house), I might be tempted to pick one up. In any case, they're definitely of a reasonable quality: at 30 pounds for the four of them (or $38.24, a very specific USD price), they're probably not too expensive in terms of wargame figures, but I'm too scared of being completely sucked in to get into something like Warhammer, a man and that seems like a lot of money to me.
Anyway, these figures aren't just for placing on the mantelpiece; Modiphius made them for use in such games as Fallout: Factions and Fallout: Wasteland Warfare, It is a wargame set in the post-apocalypse of the Black Isle. If you are interested in using Lucy, Maximus, Ghoul, or CX404 in your game, this figurine set comes with instructions that tell you what you need to know.
