Looks like the patriotic community managers at the Ministry of Super Earth Truth were right on the money, as a hot fix for Helldivers 2's crashes was immediately applied, ahead of this weekend's new explosive Warbond.
In case you haven't set foot on the site yet recently, Helldivers 2 has been plagued with crashes for a hot minute. This was not a good feeling, as most missions tend to take 30 minutes or more if you are going to rake all the samples like the scientific and heavily armed Scrooge McDuck (the Ministry of Truth does not recommend jumping into a pool with all the samples).
These crashes should be mostly fixed in patch 01.000.202: stability fixes."
Crashes should decrease in the following situations: going out on a mission, exiting a mission, going out with too many support weapons, firing lasers, jet dying while using a jet pack, fighting too many enemies, completing objectives, simple gameplay, and worst of all, throwing snowballs. Never forget the snowball fights robbed by bugs.
The UI screen has been brushed up for the statistics geeks, or R&D specialists. The note reads: "The weapon status UI has been updated to take into account explosive damage. This is to ensure that weapons that do damage with explosive rounds are more fairly displayed in the UI. Most noticeably affected is the PLAS-1 Scorcher."
Finally, several other bugs have been fixed. The social menu should no longer cause problems, and "picking up medals and supercredits no longer locks players in place. Perhaps the mere sight of medals and the galaxy's best, most liberating currency caused your Helldiver to freeze up, flooded with emotion. As I write this, saluting the Super Earth flag, I can already feel my hands locking.
