The annual Warhammer Skulls event is always a fiesta of good news for Warhammer tragics, with the announcement of an all-new game like Mechanicus2, extensions like Boltgun's Forges of Corruption, and additional details like another co-op campaign for Space Marine2. But there are usually freebies along with that, with Warhammer40,000:Gladius–Relics of War this year and free Steam and Epic next week.
I wasn't very keen on Gladius when it was first launched in 2018, but the battle-focused Civ-like has seen a series of updates and enhancements since then. More recently, Steam has received almost positive user reviews, with 11 added to the DLC that allows you to play as factions such as t'au, tyranids and Chaos space marines, as well as a small newly released demolition pack that adds units to those factions, including arco-flagellants, wraithlords and burna boyz. (That last one is for orks, if the name didn't give it.
Other giveaways this year include GOG's digital toy bag containing wallpapers and discount codes, a set of Blood Bowl3 dice that can be billed from this week's in-game store, and the announcement of a new legendary hero coming to Total War: Warhammer3. It is a three-headed demon dog that offers Karanak Endless Hunter, the Chaos God Khorne, and will be part of future updates for all players.
