Popular Twitch streamer Kylie Cox, aka Sketch (made famous by her Madden NFL 24 play), confessed to being at the center of a recent "controversy." Because as long as you are not in the public eye, this issue is not an issue at all.
On July 7, Cox, who has over 1.2 million followers on Twitch (and more on Instagram and TikTok), reported that a former OnlyFans account (suggested by Sketch to be his own) had posted several images of Cox having sex with a man Cox has spread several images and webcam videos of Cox having sex with men from his former OnlyFans account (suggested by Sketch to be his own) on social media against his will.
FaZe Banks, CEO of esports company FaZe Clan and a supporter of Cox, shared several emails with him, showing unconditional support and adding: "Sketch is my man yesterday, today, and tomorrow. You guys are freaks.
The weirdos Banks is addressing here are: ...... One is the Internet as a whole, but other streamers with hundreds of thousands of followers have also criticized Cox for "living a lie," etc.
Cox performed live the next day, and the vod was shared by riri on YouTube.
Cox begins the video with gusto, joking: "The elephant in the room... I cut my hair," he jokes, confirming that the OnlyFans video was indeed made with his involvement. 'Two years ago, I did a thing. I didn't have sexual relations with that man. I'm kidding. It's possible. It's possible.
Cox then apologized for his past conduct and said, "I was working on some addiction issues. Those were dark and rough times."
Cox's past work is something he has feared coming to light for two whole years, he says: "I lived in fear of that coming to light. God is good, God is good, all the time."
He has been a "good man,"
and a "good man"
.He continues to believe that FaZe Banks, along with his parents, helped him out of the dark place that Riek told him: if I had been alone, in my own home, I would not be talking to you like this now."
[20"People like FaZe, especially Banks, and the friends I've made in the last few years came and saved me. I didn't know what to do.
I personally don't know much about Cox's stream. You might be surprised to learn that I'm not much of a sports guy, even when it comes to video games, but this whole thing is heartbreaking. Cox was most likely exposed against his will. As far as I know, Cox has neither affirmed nor denied his actual sexual orientation (nor is he obligated to deny it), so I'm only saying "probably" here, but whether he was financially pressured or coerced to remain heterosexual and do his former job, the impact on his life is much the same.
Cox's implication-that he suffered from addiction and needed money-is deeply disturbing. However, it goes without saying that his past sex work should not be a major issue either. The marquipliers have OnlyFans. It is hard to watch Cox talk about his past as if he were nothing more than a victim.
If there is a silver lining to this, it is that Cox's popularity seems to have temporarily pierced the veil of homophobia online, as seen in this tweet sharing a video of TikToker's Carter Follian. Given that Folian is mistakenly transgender in the video, I'll believe it when I see it.
I don't know. It feels like a Pyrrhic victory to say that this horror show will have a positive impact, when it should have been a nothing issue in the first place. This is not Dr. Disrespect sending a message to minors, but to those who are in the public eye and dare to have a career in the past and feel they have to quit their jobs or worse.
