PowerWash Simulator keeps evolving: a first-person shooter(?) that blasts mud out of the environment and makes it shiny and new again. Two new free maps have been added to the game.

Aquarium and Submarine were the winner and runner-up, respectively, in PowerWash Sim's second annual community map poll, beating out other level contenders such as Luxury Yacht and Rock Climbing Gym. While I would have liked to have seen PowerWash Sim take on Crystal Cave, the one-two punch of winning ocean fun is very tempting.

In a new level of PowerWash Sim, instead of the confined space of a submersible, you'll be cleaning a submersible from the outside in a dry dock. This submersible is bright orange and scientific, the kind of thing “Jackpot” Jimmy Cameron would use to hang out by the Titanic, dreaming of a new Avatar that would enchant our minds and heal the world.

This aquarium is going to be much more elaborate, with winding hallways and multiple enclosures that need to be cleaned. What really pissed me off was that they didn't just clean up the habitat, they had to hose down the undersea life on display until it was sparkling clean.

The main purpose is to evoke the zen-like satisfaction of washing my brother's fence for pocket money, but when I think of all the fun I had this summer, I am reminded of how PowerWash Sim feels like the “Super Mario Sunshine 2” we never got to have: FuturLab, the developer of PowerWash Sim, is probably doing what Nintendo never did.
