If having strange children knocking on your door for candy isn't scary enough yet, this week's new free games in the Epic Games Store both have a scary theme in honor of Halloween. While "Blair Witch" may be scary, "Ghostbusters" may be scary: video games? I doubt it.
Still, it's a pretty generous offer: you get $55 worth of scary entertainment. Blair Witch" is from the creators of "Layers of Fear" and "The Observer," and while I didn't particularly like it, if you like the film, you'll probably get something out of it.
Ghostbusters: a remastered version of the 2009 action game that disappeared from PCs for three years, but reappeared on the Epic Games Store last year; it's definitely from 2009, but we hear some nostalgia.
If you've been buying up these since the Epic Games Store started offering them for free, you have a very extensive game library at this point. To stay up-to-date on what's free and what's gone free, visit the Epic Games Store's list of free games.
