PUBG Corp has launched a tie-in site to coincide with the ninth season of the battle royale, which officially launched off the test servers last week.PUBG Lore does a similar job to the fan wikis that curate the backstory of the game's characters, items, and events. It does a similar job, but differs significantly in that it is officially put together by the game's own creative team. It also features a much more fancy interface than what is typically found on Fandom.com.
The fact that PUBG has lore may come as a surprise to casual fans of the game. It's not obvious that there are subtle hints scattered throughout the game when you're focused solely on ultimately winning the chicken dinner.

But I am a lore addict, so the less lore I don't need, the better. And I'm glad that PUBG Corp is distributing this stuff on their new website instead of going crazy scrambling to get tie-in novels, comics, exclusive bonuses, and other supplemental material.
PUBG Lore is now open to the public and includes a short story in addition to the wiki-like entries. Only a few pages are up at this time, but the welcome message in the site's news feed is a clear indication that plans are afoot to add more. If you're a PUBG fan and have some time to spare, it's worth checking out.
