It is not uncommon to lose control while trying to take the perfect photo during a Total War battle. At least in A Total War Saga: Troy, it will be a lot easier with the series' first Photo Mode.
Photo mode will be implemented in a free update next week and will include most of the familiar features such as filters, frames, and exposure and depth-of-field options. The Creative Assembly lists 22 adjustments, not counting frames and filters, so you'll be busy creating the perfect photo.
Troy is an impressive game, but I'd love to see it ported to other Total Wars games, with the prettier maps of Three Kingdoms and the epic battles of Warhammer. Those are the games I still play. Troy had a lot of great ideas, but I haven't gone back to it since the review. At least it might be added to Warhammer 3, but we still don't know anything about how Creative Assembly intends to complete the fantasy trilogy.
Photo mode is not the only thing being put into Troy in the free update. Artemis will be added to the pantheon, with a new temple, new bonuses for sacrificing to her, divine missions, and several units. There is her agent, Orion, and the light archer unit, Artemis' warriors.
This update will begin on October 22.
