Five new games have been added to the Xbox Game Pass for PC library. Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition will be available on October 15, and Alistair says that while it "doesn't really feel like the definitive version," it will be worth a look if you have memories of the original.
Elsewhere, the JRPG epic Tales of Vesperia has also been added: a polished version of the original PlayStation 3 exclusive. Fans of the series often cite it as the best of the "Tales of" series, and it's worth 50+ hours of work.
Three great indie titles have also been added: Heave Ho, Katana Zero, and Sword of Dito: The Curse of Mormo. Katana Zero is a particular standout, and Lauren writes in her review: with thoughtfully designed levels and a variety of combat abilities, Katana Zero is worth rewinding despite its unconventional characters.
As for games that have been taken out of service, there are five: Felix the Reaper, Metro 2033 Redux, Minit, Saints Row IV Re-Elected, and State of Mind. At the end of this month, on October 30, Tacoma, The Red String Club, and Lord of the Rings will end their services: adventure card games will also be discontinued.
