"Baldur's Gate 3" has a character creator that allows players to customize their race, class, and physical attributes in the game. That's how Fraser created the sexy dwarf with soulful eyes and a majestic beard. But so many other players seem to be using it in less creative ways, and Larian is very disappointed in all of you.
"Share what you have created through your choices in character creation (this is your own responsibility)," the studio wrote in today's hotfix update. We chose the most popular choices in character creation and recreated these for you." We thought our analysis system wasn't working! Confirmed. Confirmed.
And here are the results for the most common choices.
"Congratulations, you've basically created a default Vault Dweller," Larian continued.
"What the heck guys. We gave you demon eyes, horns, and even a tail. It's disappointing. Go crazy. We worked so hard on this!"In case you're wondering, the studio isn't actually disappointed, they're just having a little fun.
"When we looked at the data, we expected Frankenstein based on the amount of different characters we saw online with crazy combinations," says Larian.
"So when those characters looked so normal, we had to double-check our analytics! Having said that, we love all of our players' characters, so we're happy to have them all in our team, and we're happy to have them all in our team.Larian further revealed that yesterday's request for an RTX 3080 video card was also a joke, but it seems that quite a few people still reached out with their support. 'Thanks for the message,' he said. It's yours! It's yours. Besides, how are you going to play BG3 without a graphics card?"
.
As for the actual hotfixes distributed today, they address several important issues, including restoring essential items lost by players who let Gale die and a bug that allowed players to steal from merchants by equipping items directly from their inventory. Crashes and graphical errors should also be reduced, but Larian still recommends that players encountering difficulties switch from Vulkan to DX11.
