Tyler "Ninja" Blevins is still between gigs. His comeback to "The Mixer" is now completely off the table, and his surprise appearance on YouTube earlier this month did not result in a new big-money contract. But while he works on putting these pieces together, he told the Hollywood Reporter that he has his eyes on other things.
Blevins is "looking at literally everything in Hollywood," he told the site. 'Movies, voice acting, animation. That ambition is part of the reason he appeared in "The Masked Singer" last year (he dropped out after the first episode) and has a cameo in the Ryan Reynolds film "Free Guy," currently scheduled for release in December, which is a cross between "The Live" and "Ready Player One" and previous Ryan The film is a cross between "The Live," "Ready Player One," and previous Ryan Reynolds films.
His experience with "Free Guy" apparently went well. They said, "You were great, a natural." I kept saying to [his wife] Jess, they're just trying to goad me into saying that so they don't think I suck at it. But they say I'm not a gas, so I hope it's great."
Reportedly, he is reading the script and pitching his own ideas as well, but doesn't seem to be pressing hard to make it happen. 'As long as it makes sense,' he said. If it's tough because I'm still not convinced, then work on it. But if it's tough because I'm not good enough, I'm not going to cry about it."
As for the future of streaming, Blevins gave no hint as to where he would ultimately end up, but reports have described his breakup with Twitch as "somewhat acrimonious." His wife Jessica told Business Insider last year that the split was mainly due to Twitch's attempts to restrict Blevins' licensing deal during contract negotiations, which would have limited his ability to grow his brand beyond games. However, if Twitch does not back away from these demands, the possibility of a return to the platform will be very complicated.
