Logitech G Pro X Lightspeed Wireless, the mysteriously named cordless headset, is now available. Logitech has added Lightspeed wireless technology to its Pro X gaming headset.

It comes with a 2.4GHz USB dongle and promises to allow users to enjoy gaming "without compromising on latency, connectivity, or battery." For the latter, Logitech claims that the new headset is durable enough to handle more than 20 hours of gameplay before needing to be recharged, and has a wireless range of 13 meters (about 42.6 feet).

As with the wired version of the Pro X, one of the selling points of the wireless model is the integration of Blue Vo!ce audio; Logitech acquired Blue Microphones two years ago, and Blue is a streaming, gaming, and podcasting We saw this as an exciting development, as Blue makes some of the best microphones for streaming, gaming, and podcasting. [However, Jacob reviewed the wired Pro X a few months ago and noted that the Blue Vo!ce's features felt a bit gimmicky. He found the mic to be very sharp and very clear, at least in-game, but not necessarily comfortable for those on the receiving end.

Perhaps the newer wireless models do as well, but it's hard to say until we try them out.

Aside from the microphone, the Pro X Wireless uses 50mm drivers and supports the DTS Headphone:X 2.0 standard. As for construction, the headphones are made of steel and aluminum, with memory foam used for the headband and earbuds. For reference, Jacob found the fit of the wired model to be snug and comfortable, and the wireless model should be as well.

Another interesting feature unique to the Pro X Wireless is USB-C charging. This is a feature not often found in wireless headsets focused on gaming.

The Pro X Wireless will be available in August for $200.
