Asmodee Digital, the video game publishing arm of board game publisher Asmodee, announced today that it is working on a PC version of the "Game of Thrones" board game. The "Game of Thrones The Board Game - Digital Edition" (yes, that's a bit of a difficult name) will be developed by Dire Wolf Digital will develop the game.

Game of Thrones: The Board Game is a tactical strategy game in which players command various armies of Westeros, such as the Lannisters, Baratheons, and Starks, and attempt to control cities and regions by winning battles and increasing their influence.Asmodee Digital has not yet clarified whether the digital version will include only the base game. It would be nice to see it included, perhaps even as DLC, especially since the "Mother of Dragons" expansion is quite voluminous. However, the digital board game will come with a "Digital Exclusive Challenge based on the Battle of the Five Kings," which will reportedly increase the play time per session to 6-8 hours
