In the weeks since Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord was released, hotfixes and updates have been made to fix urgent issues, but developer TaleWorlds has released a beta 1.1 patch that fixes several issues requested by the community. The developer, TaleWorlds, announced plans for future updates with the release of the Beta 1.1 patch that fixes several issues requested by the community. There is currently a branch on Steam for public testing of the new version, and TaleWorlds plans to beta test it for one week and release the fixed version the following week. There is also a branch planned for an alpha update that will include content that has not been tested internally by TaleWorlds, but this branch is currently unreleased.

To access the beta branch, right-click Bannerlord in the library and open Properties. Then click on the Beta tab and select "e 1.1.0 - Beta" from the drop-down menu. The update should then be downloaded automatically.

The current beta update adjusts XP gains so that both players and their companions level up more regularly. Players' troops can now be upgraded more quickly and easily, but no longer gain experience during auto-resolving battles. In addition, the equipment and skills of certain troops have been updated, particularly those of the much-maligned Sturgian troops. Various economic and item fixes were also made, including one that hopefully will correct the exorbitant pricing of ranged weapons.
