Many rejoiced upon hearing the news that Platinum Games' "Wonderful 101" would be saved from the dreaded Wii U exclusive. The remastered version of the game quickly reached and surpassed its Kickstarter goal. And now it is set to be released on May 19 in the U.S. and May 22 in Europe. That's May 19 in the US and May 22 in Europe.

This is quite early, but a bit later than the earlier promise of April. The isometric action game has the feel of a Saturday morning cartoon and has developed quite a cult following after its initial release in 2013.

For Platinum, 2020 has been a busy year so far: the Japanese studio announced a new "Giant Hero" game developed in-house under the working title Project GG. Keep your eyes peeled for two more major announcements from the studio in the coming weeks.
