Spawn creator Todd McFarlane recently tweeted a photo of the new "Mortal Kombat Spawn" action figure, which shows him holding a sword, standing over a decapitated enemy, and wearing a very chunky spiked boot on one leg. I haven't read a Spawn comic since 1995, so I don't know if this is his current appearance or a major redesign.

In reply to this tweet, the official Mortal Kombat 11 account wrote: "Amazing figure? Of course! Proven in Kombat, we'll find out on 3/8, @Todd_McFarlane...?" It says, suggesting that players who have the Kombat Pack DLC may unlock Spawn (or at least get a closer look at him) on March 8.

While there is a long list of console versions of Spawn games dating back to the SNES in 1995, this is the first time he has appeared on the PC. At least outside of mods: Spawn in "Arkham City," Spawn in "Fallout: New Vegas," and of course the sexy Spawn in "Skyrim," to name a few.
