Namco Bandai has issued a job posting that hints at a possible English release of the action MMO Blue Protocol. The job posting for an English localization manager could mean that Namco Bandai is planning to release the game in the U.S., U.K., and Australia. While there is no guarantee that this is the case, the job posting calls for someone fluent in English for localization, including cultural changes, UI, text, and cut-scene voices. We have reached out to Bandai Namco for comment and will update if we hear back. (The job posting, here, is all in Japanese.)
Blue Protocol is an online action RPG set in a "world on the verge of devastation"; when it was announced in summer 2019, it resembled games like Ninokuni, with anime It garnered attention for its inspired, shaded visual style. The game is being developed by an in-house team from Namco Bandai Online and Namco Bandai Studios, the developers of the "Tales" series RPGs, "Tekken" and "Ace Combat". A closed alpha was held in Japan last year, but no release date has been set. The only trailer that has been released is here:
Thanks to Reddit users in the Blue Protocol Online community for the information. The official Blue Protocol website is here.
