The slick murder sim "Dishonored" is getting the tabletop RPG treatment from Modiphius Entertainment, creators of "Star Trek Adventures" and the upcoming "Fallout" wargame. Not far off. This summer, you'll be able to roll your character and walk the streets of Dunwall. [Dishonored" is not only one of the best stealth games on the PC, it is blessed with one of the most fascinating worlds in gaming. The industrial revolution is fueled by whale oil, and hordes of greedy rats roam the streets and devour humans. It is brooding, magical, murderous, and not a bad setting for an RPG.
The Dishonored Roleplaying Game lets you create your own assassin, but unlike the digital version, you can explore other professions. Void powers are back, and the chaos mechanics of the series have been brought together in a new "Momentum" system.
As for what drives the game, Modiphius uses its own 2D20 system. The tabletop developer also works with Harvey Smith of Arkane, as well as writers and artists who have helped bring the digital game to life.
The tabletop RPG will be released this summer along with a 300-page book. The book will introduce the Isles Empire and the Void, explain how to create characters, provide story hooks, and launch a four-act campaign set in Dunwall. In the meantime, you can sign up for updates at the official website.
