Netflix's "The Witcher" soundtrack goes on sale this week

Following the success of Netflix's The Witcher, the official OST for the series (55 songs in all) will be released this weekend.

Currently available on Amazon, the album is priced at £7.49/$9.99 and includes the entire first season of The Witcher. To the delight of fans, "Toss A Coin To Your Witcher" is the second track on the album and is the only song currently available as a single. The song's single price of $1.29 will likely satisfy those eager to toss a coin in advance of the album's full release.

Simply titled "The Witcher (music from the Netflix original series)," the album was arranged for the series by Swiss-Italian composer Giona Ostinelli and Russian-born American producer Sonya Belousova.

According to the Amazon listing, it will be released on Friday, January 24, 2020 and published by Milan Records. It contains over three hours of original music from the first season of the series and can be pre-ordered here now.

This comes at the same time as news that The Witcher may be the biggest series ever for Netflix, with the fourth quarter 2019 earnings report stating:

"Through the first four weeks of distribution, 76 million member households chose to watch this action-packed fantasy starring Henry Cavill. As a testament to how our hit content can penetrate global zeitgeist and influence popular culture, the show's launch has boosted sales of The Witcher books and games worldwide, creating a viral musical hit."

This report is supported by the fact that a whopping 500,000 copies of Sapkovksi's Witcher book have been printed in the US alone since the Netflix show aired in late December.

It is currently estimated that Season 2 of The Witcher will begin in 2021.
