PlayStation developer Naughty Dog recently posted a job posting for a graphics programmer. The job is associated with "The Last of Us Part 2," which has only been announced for PS4, but the "Requirements and Skills" section lists several things specific to the PC version.
The new graphics programmer must join Naughty Dog's rendering team and have a "thorough understanding of current GPU architectures" including Nvidia; DirectX12 and Vulkan experience is also desired; Naughty Dog is looking for candidates with broad experience. While Naughty Dog may be looking for candidates with a wide range of experience, it still seems odd that they specifically mention APIs and GPUs that are not present in PlayStation.
"PC programming experience" is also listed alongside console experience for a bit more clarity.
That said, it still seems unlikely that one of Sony's biggest exclusives will be ported to PC anytime soon; Horizon: Horizon: Zero Dawn has also been rumored to be moving to PC, but was released on PS4 three years ago and has yet to be confirmed.
Cheers, Dextero.
