This is lovely; Haunted Garage is not a horror game, although the name is a bit misleading. It is a game about collecting huge, overly complex musical instruments and placing them in a minimalist room to form a band. These instruments are located in another world and are naturally accessible through a magic door. Collecting all the instruments requires a bit of chatting, discovery, and adventure games.

The point-and-click adventure portion is good enough, if a bit simplistic. It's fun to tinker with instruments in real life, but even more so when they are electronic and decorated with dials and knobs and whatnot. Similarly, the fantasy instruments in this game make all sorts of wonderful sounds, from a set of growling pipes to a variety of drums to a giant pot that makes eerie noises.

In addition, each device comes with a switch, or switches of some sort, and you can also activate some of them by plugging in dials or cables. Get a new instrument, find a place for it in your room, and then tinker with it. These actions form a lovely, inventive, playful loop.
