Camps in Fallout 76 are intended to be cozy places to store equipment and host charming apocalyptic tea parties. Over time, however, camps have established a secondary function. The latest innovation in this murderous niche is the "math camp," essentially a trap that requires victims to solve a math problem before they can escape.

Created by reddit user Vault101manguy, when players enter the camp, an automatic door closes and locks behind them. A math problem is written on the wall and a keypad for entering the correct answer unlocks the door. They must solve the math problem quickly or they will burn out.

The creator was inspired to create Math Camp after witnessing countless inescapable CAMP traps. 'The game must be winnable,' Vault101manguy wrote on reddit. 'Bodies may burn, but nothing burns like the hope of survival. Following this line of thought, I tried to come up with a new game ... I tried to think of the most terrifying and heinous threat someone might encounter in the wild... And then, when I communed with Satan for a time, it appeared ... It was a math problem."
